
"High temperature corrosion evaluation and lifetime prediction of porous Fe22Cr stainless steel in air in temperature range 700–900 °C"
This work is based on a collaboration of Gdańsk Tech with Paul Scherrer Institut (M. Makowska, F. Marone), where we have performed some advanced 3D imaging of porous alloys.
This article is also the first outcome of the Sonata BIS project.
We show how can we try to predict the lifetime of the porous alloys based on only short-time measurements (~150 hours). It is a simple and practical approach, supplementing other developed methods of lifetime prediction.
